Kaka Ray, LMFT, BCN is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Board Certified Neurotherapist, who specializes in brain-based treatments and trauma resolution. She is master trained in brain spotting, an innovative new treatment in brain-based therapy. In May of 2017, Kaka founded TN Neurofeedback when she discovered the ways in which neurofeedback could deeply benefit her clients and individuals seeking trauma resolution and performance enhancement. She has since achieved board certification in neurofeedback by the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA). As an expert in trauma and human systems, Kaka works in short intensive sessions to prevent and manage crises. The model of intensive sessions coupled with cutting edge brain-based treatment such as brainspotting and neurofeedback is proven to make the therapeutic engagement more efficient and effective.
Dr. Steffens is a leader in the field of psychophysiology and has been board certified in neurofeedback by the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA) for 10 years and has achieved title of Fellow. The BCIA is the largest international governing body for the field of Psychophysiology. Her recognition as a qualified mentor in the field by the BCIA makes her the perfect candidate for the role of Clinical Director at Tennessee Neurofeedback. In addition to conducting Neurofeedback consultations with our patients, Dr. Steffens will oversee client care.
B. Andrew Garner, M.Div., LMFT, Master Brainspotting Professional has over a decade of experience helping clients manage difficult relationships, overcome depression, and relieve anxiety. He is the founder of Midtown Nashville Counseling, LLC — A private practice widely known for being dedicated to absolute excellence in care. Andy’s clients find him to be approachable, direct, and realistic in his counseling methods. He is an expert at working with clients who are in crisis, and in teaching clients how to relate to difficult and manipulative people, both in the home and the workplace. He relates particularly well to men and women who are hesitant to attend counseling. Andy works hand-in-hand with many of Nashville’s elite executives, attorneys, medical professionals, musicians, and athletes. Andy lives in Franklin, TN with his wife and two children. They are an active family, involved in cycling, hiking, and travel. Andy is a licensed USA Cycling Masters racer, and is the 2018 NFAA TN State Champion for compound bow archery. Andy’s focus on family and self-development overflows into his work with clients.
Mallory achieved her Bachelor’s of Science in Sociology and Communication Studies with minors in Business Administration and Religion and the Arts at Belmont University. She loves creating and improving communications systems and working towards excellence in business operations. She is passionate about mental health and excited to be a part of helping people reach their full potential.
Madison received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from Baylor University. She is currently continuing her education in the mental health field by pursuing a Master’s from Belmont University in Mental Health and Counseling. She is also working towards her certification by the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA) as a Neurofeedback Technician. Madison is honored to be a part of TN Neurofeedback and the healing it provides its clients with. Madison’s attention to detail, high proficiency and kind demeanor make her the perfect person to manage our techs.
